Awards

While living in Puerto Rico between 1974-1992 I worked as a photographer for 3 newspapers El Vocero, El Reportero and The San Juan Star. Working for a newspaper is one of the most exciting and competitive jobs in the world and working for newspapers in Puerto Rico excitement is an understatement. Assignments were at times an adventure: the close calls, the occasional scoops, the memorable moments and touching interludes. Some of my photographs eventually captured the attention of the Overseas Press Club of Puerto Rico resulting in a number of awards.
